About Winterfell

About

Winterfell Care Home provides high-quality residential care for the elderly, vulnerable adults and disabled patients. We are Dementia registered and are proud to say we specialise in offering care to residents with varying needs. We also offer respite services throughout the year allowing you the opportunity to take advantage of outstanding care within a peaceful home as and when you require it. We at Winterfell strongly believe in the need to continuously strive to improve the quality of care, the services we provide and they need to invest in our team. We have ongoing training, coaching and development to ensure we have the very best staff who are motivated in providing a distinctive level of care.

The newly renovated building has a 'family friendly' and 'homely' feel from the welcoming reception area through to a choice of luxurious lounges, conservatory, games room, a large dining area and spacious bedrooms many of which have en-suite facilities. The interior colours, paintings, photographs and décor have been carefully chosen with our residents in mind to create a comfortable surrounding. There is a lovely garden with seating which can be enjoyed by residents at their leisure and also a hairdressing salon with regular visits from a hair stylist, make up artist and barber.

Winterfell has the support of its local community which has close ties to neighbouring schools, community centres and social groups with many individuals volunteering to come and spend quality time with our residents.

Staying active and having a satisfying social life is crucial for our residents' mental health and well being. Winterfell provides a range of stimulating activities and events both indoor and outdoor led by the residents themselves.

Here at Winterfell there is a great emphasis on the delivery of person-centred care, independence within a communal living. We offer an open house policy and encourage close involvement with residents, relatives and loved ones. Our residents are treated as individuals with their own personal needs recognised and catered for.

Our mission is to deliver comprehensive care services to our residents within a comfortable environment and make Winterfell a place everyone can call 'home'.
